IDL Stages
The IDL is a linear motor driven stage designed for industrial
laser micro-processing. These are high performance and
high precision linear stages which can also handle large
payloads and have a long life. Industrial-grade debris
protection features include hard covers, side bands and
positive pressure. The IDL comes in 165, 225, 280 and
560mm wide bodies with travel ranges starting from 100mm
to 1m. The IDL is compatible with the Newport XPS and
adaptable to other 3rd party controllers.

Ion Assisted Deposition
Rainbow Research Optics, Inc. (RROI) is pleased to
announce we are expanding our thin film capabilities
through the use of Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD). IAD is an
alternative to our current electron-beam evaporation coating
technology and it will offer a supplementary option to our
customers whose applications require optical components
with reduced absorption, less scatter, improved mechanical
durability and enhanced environmental stability.

Fiber Focuser
The Fiber
Focuser is
designed
to generate
micron spot
sizes at long
working
distance
covering the
range from
350nm to
2300nm. Focusing Cells screw on to the main collimator
to provide a convenient and compact way to define your
focused spot. Material chosen in the optics minimizes any
fluorescence generated by some optics, especially in the
visible region but also in the NIR region. There is no epoxy in
the optical path. An all stainless steel housing construction
minimizes any temperature effects. Applications include
particle analysis, wafer analysis, samples in dewars or
hazardous environments.
