Compact linear stages
Linear stages provide sub-micron accuracy by using
closed-loop DC servomotors and rotary encoders for
positioning feedback. The stages use crossed-roller
slides, precision lead screws, and zero-backlash miniature geared DC servomotors for 50–200 mm travel.
Vertical loads up to 4. 5 kg and horizontal loads over
45 kg can be accommodated.
Applied Scientific Instrumentation
A MEMS optical shutter is a compact, low-power
alternative to traditional optical blockers and choppers. With a total thickness of 0.3 mm, this chip can be
packaged directly into the beam line within a TO-can,
optical connector, or other optical module. Many cus-tomizable size and displacement configurations, as well
as reflective gold or aluminum coatings, are available.

Small-form-factor, aberration-corrected diffraction
gratings are designed for OEM use in precision optical
instruments in color management, plant phenotyping,
pathogen detection, semiconductors, process monitoring, and remote sensing. These gratings can withstand temperatures >80°C, and designs can be fiber-matched and self-referencing.
